CallArc promises unlimited FREE international calls – Hold off your excitement!! [Updates]

I got a whiff of CallArc a while back and have been following it since then. CallArc, a new face in VoIP space, is promising to offer unlimited free international calls to any country across the world. The service is currently NOT LIVE, so hold off your excitement. Let me briefly talk about the offering before providing additional details on CallArc.

CallArc’s offering – Unlimited FREE Calls

Without belaboring the point, CallArc’s basic offering is unlimited FREE calls ANYWHERE across the world. To make the call, you need to send a text message (SMS) to CallArc with the number that you need to call. CallArc will then call you back and then connect the two parties for no chanrge. The flash animation clearly explains the basic idea.

Sounds too good to be true?

Does it all sound too good to be true? Well, I was of a similar opinion until I spoke to Francis Assif, CEO and Co-Founder of CallArc (thanks Francis for taking time out).

Francis assured that CallArc is adequately funded by investors and the service is legitimate and should be live within a couple of months. The immediate objective of the company is to offer a decent product that allows users to make calls to their friends and family. The initial version of the offering will allow calls between popular destinations such as USA, Canada, Europe, and some Asian countries (including India and China). Eventually, however, the company aims to provide services to all the countries where VoIP termination is not banned by law.

He further clarified that calls can be initiated from various devices, such as smart phones, iPad, or even landline phones.

While advertisements is an obvious source to monetize the service, CallArc is still finalizing its business model and has some interesting options to monetize the service (for confidentiality reasons, let me keep those details to myself). He indicated that CallArc may have premium variants of the offering.

We have seen some ad-supported free calling services such as CallingAmerica, but those are either not very convenient or limited to few countries. I hope that CallArc is able to deliver on its promises – Amen!!

What next?

While the service may be available to broad audience in a couple of months, CallArc will start the beta testing within few weeks. They are looking for beta testers across the globe, so register yourself on their website.

Meanwhile, keep an eye for a complete review on CallArc. The review should be live within a few days of the beta program going live.

I am not sure why you entered the country code twice. As you rightly point out there is a drop down field for the country code and we only need to select the country code in the drop down field.
I have been using CallArc for quite some time and have been able to add numbers without any issues. Wondering if anyone else had this problem…

It is all B.S They tell you it is “Unlimited Free CAlls anywhere in the world” then you have to pay $4.95 and it lasts for 6 minutes. Then you have to earn credit. To earn credit, you have to go to several sites to do survey and sign up with them and give them your email address and phone number to earn between $0.40 – $4.00. Don’t waist your time on it. It is scam.

I agree with you that CallArc had to retreat from its initial promises of “Unlimited free calls anywhere in the world”, however, I will still cut them some slack given that they have been able to provide free calls to at least a few countries. It is still early days for the company and I hope it figures some way out to make good on its initial promises.

CallArc is an ad-supported calling scheme and surveys is just another form of advertisement. While I agree with you that it is not the most exciting form of advertisement, I am sure that the company must have had some reasons to make such a choice.

CallArc is just a SCAM
that’s not the point. the point is that you fill out their surveys and dont get the credit. so much time wasted for nothing.

if you can actually get any credit out of them (6 surveys completed, only 2 were credited with a total of $2 credit) then try to make a call. what a joke!!! it rings 3x, then the line dies before anyone answers and they charge you anyway.

yeah i had all kind of problems try use the service and getting the free credit was confusing. I actually received text messages after trying but i should not have entered my phone number. I found a video on how to get free credit and it is actually simple…….i just got $4.90 credit for filling out crap survey and it took me three minutes…

I call Brazil with Callarc and it has worked perfectly.
I earned $6 dollars and then called for free, I also purchased $10 and that has worked.
It is very easy to use, I don’t understand how you can not.
