TruVoIPBuzz 2.0 – Welcome back to your new site [Updates]
| By Alok Saboo on March 11th, 2010 |
It has been long (or at least it seems to be long) since my last post and now you know the reason behind the gap. I have been busy giving final touches to the latest website update and I am very excited to present our new website layout. The new website is an attempt to incorporate the vast amount of feedback that I have received over the past year and to prepare TruVoIPBuzz for the next phase of growth.
What has changed?
As you can see, almost everything at TruVoIPBuzz has changed. Right from the logo to the web-host. The underlying philosophy behind the update was to make the site reader-friendly, visually appealing, and fast. Towards this objective, I have spent lot of time with very talented people who assisted me during the process. Following are the highlights of the changes that we have made:
- The new logo reflects the professional nature of the website with VoIP as the focus.
- Easy access to commonly used items, e.g., categories and search in the header.
- More content on the front page without slowing down the experience. Earlier, we only had 2 (full) posts on the front page, requiring multiple clicks to access older (but useful) posts. With the new layout, the recent posts are just a click away.
- More sharing options – I have provided more options for you to share the content on the website with your friends and broader social circle.
- Typography – I have improved the typography, so as to be easy on your eyes.
Changes are not restricted to the visual elements. I have paid special attention to improve the speed of the website and I hope that you feel the difference.
- TruVoIPBuzz has now moved to a bigger web hosting company – Hostgator, providing us with increased bandwidth to support the growing number of readers.
- Special attention has been paid to optimizing the technical elements of the website (scripts, PHP, CSS) so as to load faster.
Its still not over…
I must say that although most of the update is over, I am still working on new features and functions. So please bear with me for some time. Finally, if you have any suggestions to enhance your experience at TruVoIPBuzz, please feel free to share with me.
Final thoughts…
I must say that I am humbled by the amount of love and appreciation showered by lovely readers like you. The update is a small way of saying THANK YOU for your support. Please share your feedback about the update – things you like, dislike, etc. Also, if you notice any bugs, please bring it to my notice so that I can fix them at the earliest. The update just confirms my commitment to continue to provide you with the very best in VoIP and make sure that TruVoIPBuzz continues to be your ultimate VoIP resource.
