Google Voice Invite Giveaway [Contests]
| By Alok Saboo on July 10th, 2009 |
If the number of emails I have received requesting the elusive Grandcentral (and now Google Voice) invite is any indication, I am sure you all have been dying to have one yourself. Google is (very) slowly giving away some invites to its latest service. However, here’s your chance to get a Google Voice invite RIGHT NOW for FREE!!!
Here’s what you need to do to claim the invite:
- If you are not already, follow @truvoip on Twitter. If you do not have a Twitter account, its high time you get one.
- Retweeting or blogging about this giveaway increase your chances of winning one.
- Leave a comment on any of the posts on this blog (the chances of your winning are proportional to the quality of your comment) OR tell me why do you need this invite.
- Post your twitter id and the link to your comment as a comment in this post.
A winner will be randomly picked on 14th July midnight (EST). You have until then to enter the giveaway.
If you are not familiar with Google Voice, please read our earlier posts on the complete review of Google Voice. If you are an iPhone user, you may also want to read how to use Google Voice with iPhone.
I will keep adding more invites to this contest as and when I get more so keep doing your best…all the best!!

Hello, my name is Abiade, son of a wealthy Nigerian king. My father has deceased at recent time, and his will has included you. A sum of 150 million naira awaits your claim. However, we must confirm identity of your person by phone call. My technology advisor suggest advanced google voice technology is supreme and worthy for our royal use. Please do me the favor of sending a google voice invite to my email address, and we can proceed with the money transaction.

In actuality: I'm Jake–not a royal Nigerian Prince–but would love to feel Prince-ly with a brand new Google Voice phone number. Thanks for holding this contest!

Woww….exactly what I was looking for sooo long. Have submitted my email address with Google, but Google does not seem to be obliging. I hope I have some luck here.
I am starting up a new firm in the technology space. Given the market conditions, funding is an issue for me and am looking for all possible ways to save money. Google Voice would be a great way for me to save some serious money on communications. As most of my communications is within USA and Canada, this would be a great tool. I will be able to make free calls and SMS as well. I would be greatly obliged if you could give me this invite.
Thanks.
p.s. tweeted as well
I think the invite should come my way so that I can get back to being productive at work instead of prowling twitter for people giving away invites
— I almost had a heart attack today when someone kindly sent me one…but then it failed to work
— Here's hoping you can end my fruitless march – I'll end solely with…please, please, pretty please…with sugar on top?
I would LOVE an invite!! I am the mom of 3 kids and have a small, consignment business that I run out of my home. I am desperate to be able to set the phone aside during non-biz hours and be able to work around my kids schedules. I haven't received an invite yet, and ebay's too much $$, so I'm resorting to begging LOL….Please…..pretty please….with sugar on top….
BTW, following on twitter at http://www.twitter.com/CarlaLFR and re-tweeting right now
pick me! pick me! I'll follow your articles and tweets forever. my twitter id @spatical

I am interested in google voice. I am an American living overseas and would like to have a U.S. number to take calls from my U.S. bank, and credit cards. I would also like to use it for my old American friends, and family to get a hold of me. I miss America, and have not met many people locally. Thanks.
I would love to help you, but unfortunately I do not have any spare invites at this point. I will surely let you know if anything comes up.
That said, there are some options for you to receive a USA incoming number (DID) so that your American friends can reach you. You can read our earlier post http://74.52.154.247/~arsaboo/2009/06/bueno-advanced-s... OR http://74.52.154.247/~arsaboo/2009/07/make-unlimited-f...

Can you please share Google Voice invite to Muzammils@gmail.com
The article about the whistle phone was very interesting about the free calls. I’ll talk to my sister to consider this option when she calls us. I read too late about google wave, the article was about November or December 2009. This site has really let me know things that I didn´t. I tried about google voice that I read on this site, unfortunately I have to wait until they open up the service for more users. I bookmarked this site. Just a note: links to tips & tricks, tools, tutorials and updates are not working.
Juani, thanks a lot for the kind words. Also appreciate bringing the bug to my notice. I removed the bug from the website, hopefully it should be working fine.
You can use Whistle Phone in place of Google Voice. let me know if you need any additional help.
Hope to see you around..keep an eye on more good stuff to come. Also, do not forget to spread the word so that others can also make use of this information. Thanks!!
