Today we review another VoIP provider, Jumblo, that seems to be offering some great VoIP deals to top VoIP destinations like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Russia, etc. Jumblo is the latest kid on the block seeking to capture some VoIP market share. Jumblo offers local access numbers across various countries. You could use the smart dialing feature to make the optimum use of the local access numbers. Using the local access numbers and the SIP support, you could make use of VoIP without the computer.

  • You can use your credit card/paypal to purchase credit from Jumblo. You should see the option (if available) while purchasing credit.

    If the above client does not work, I will encourage you to try Nimbuzz or Fring on your phone and configure Jumblo SIP account on your phone.

    Betamax removed the option of using credit card or Paypal for making purchases for several consumers. Try creating an account with another service, e.g. Rynga or use the allowed payment mechanisms.

  • The confirmation of your purchases is sent to the email address that you used for your registration. You should also be able to access the same inside your account. Hope this helps!!

  • Follow our voip trouble shooting guide and see if that helps. Try using Voxalot SIP settings and trying out the echo test.

  • You do not have to download the Jumblo dialer on your mobile. You can get the Jumblo SIP settings here and then use our tutorial to configure Jumblo SIP settings on your mobile using Nimbuzz or Fring.

  • You can get the Jumblo SIP settings. If you want to configure Jumblo on mobile device, you can use our tutorial to configure Jumblo SIP settings on your mobile using Nimbuzz or Fring. If you want to configure a softphone, you can follow the tutorial here. You can follow the similar steps to configure your ATA or any other hardware device.

  • Dear Amir, I appreciate your concern, but unfortunately I have little influence on how much Jumblo or any other provider charges for a particular country. The rate charged is a function of the cost that providers incur in providing termination to the country. If calling rates for Pakistan or any other country is higher than some other country, e.g., USA, UK, it means the government/telecom carriers in the country are charging higher for termination.

    I was using jumblo through nimbuzz from UAE. However couple of weeks i tried it cannot be accessed. It is getting connected, however both ends cannot hear the voice. Therefore request you to guide with another software for mobile or pc that can access from UAE. Your favorable & prompt response will be highly appreciated.

  • I am guessing that the authorities in UAE are getting increasingly strict about preventing access to VoIP. Even Ringomax is having difficulties getting around the restrictions. Meanwhile, I will suggest that you try the VPN option. Meanwhile, I will keep looking for other options for our readers in UAE and other countries where access to VoIP is restricted.

  • Apologies for the inconvenience. Betamax updates the rates very frequently and it is difficult for me to keep a track of all the changes they have made across the destinations. The rates that you see on the post were valid at the time of writing it. However, you will be charged the rates mentioned on their website. TruVoIPbuzz provides you a good indication of rates (the rates do not swing wildly).
