ChilliTalk offers 100 minutes free calls [Deals]

Today we review another new VoIP provider, ChilliTalk. Although price and quality are the primary drivers in selecting a VoIP provider, we are often more comfortable with dealing with companies that operate out of our own country (to avoid the foreign exchange issues). If you are in UK and are looking for a decent UK based provider, read on…
ChilliTalk is a UK based calling card provider that offers decent rates across the world. To access ChilliTalk, you need to buy their vouchers (which have the PIN). You can buy the vouchers online or from physical shops (displaying the sign e-pay or payzone). After you have purchased the voucher, you can make calls like any other calling card. You need to dial the local access number and then your PIN to be able to make calls. If you do not want to go through the process manually, you can follow the process described earlier to use calling cards smartly.
ChilliTalk offers some decent rates to various countries. For example, you can call India for 1p/min, Bangladesh for 2p/min, Pakistan for 3p/min, etc. You can find a complete list of rates here. The Betamax clones (e.g. ActionVoIP, SmartVoIP) obviously provide better international rates, but if you do not want to deal with Betamax, these are some very good rates.
To sweeten the deal, ChilliTalk is even offering 100 free international minutes to India, Bangladesh, Egypt, and Ghana. But this offer is only available if you activate your calling card before 31st May 2009. So hurry up and make the most of this offer.
I would recommend that you to seriously consider ChilliTalk and share your experiences.

Hi Chillitalk take 10P per call as connection charge. I am using lycatalk it has no line rental, no connection charge and 100% quaranteed minutes.
But unfortunately i went to chillitalk after their offer but there no 100% minutes and 10P connection charge. this mean no free calls.
So now i am coming back to Lycatalk.
I got chilli calling card promising 1p aminute and 100 free minutes, but I got none of these,I complained to chilli talk and there is no reply,I wonder if it is all a fraud.

Hi, sorry to hear about your experience. How much are you being charged right now? The 1p per minute is applicable only to Mobile phones in India, so just make sure you are comparing the rates for mobile phones. As regards the free minutes, you need to activate the card. Also, the site mentions that “The above minutes are free only when calling from a local access number and using a £5 chillitalk calling card”. So, just make sure you are meeting the requirements.
If there is any discrepancy, just let me know and I can try to get in touch with the company.
The free minutes aren't very great when you get charged twice the advertised rate (>6p instead of 3p for pakistan) and get credit deducted every day you don't use the card and a 10p connection fee every time you use the free minutes
