Skype offering Unlimited international Calling for $6/month [Deals]

Skype is becoming the Google of VoIP. We read earlier that Skype handles more international call volumes than any other company. Skype is now seeking to extend this domination further. Skype’s unlimited calling plans were fairly popular among the users. To summarize, Skype has the Unlimited US & Canada plan for $2.95/month where users can make unlimited calls to landlines and cell phones in the two countries. They also have the Unlimited World plan for $12.95/month, where users can make unlimited calls to landlines in 40 countries.
The complaint with these plans was that users would typically call to a few countries, but the pricing was based on the entire basket of countries. To make things simpler (read cheaper) for the user, Skype has introduced the Unlimited Country plan, where the user can make unlimited calls to one country for $5.95/month.
The Unlimited Country plan is currently available for the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada*, Chile, Columbia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guam, Hong Kong*, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore*, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand*, United Kingdom, and USA*. (* mobile as well)
This is a nice option for a lot of users who make most of their calls to a couple of countries. The Unlimited Country plan lets you save some money in this tough economy. Given that Skype runs on mobiles and lot of other devices, this may be a great option for a lot of travelers who want to save on roaming charges.
If you are looking for option to call India, Skype has a (rather expensive) India 300 plan for $14.95/month that allows you to make 300 minutes of call to any landline in India. This plan, honestly, is rather expensive and does not offer the same level of features that some of the other options that we have covered in the past. Try http://www.voipian.com they offer calls at 1 cent per call (flat) no minute charges. There are so many Voip services undercutting Skype, just try one of them if you want to save some extra money.
