25% Discounts on Skype’s Annual Subscriptions[Deals]
| By Alok Saboo on April 30th, 2009 |
Skype seems to be in the news for some reason or the other lately. We read about Skype’s mobile VoIP ambitions, then we read about the Unlimited International calling plans.
Skype seems to be taking the unlimited plans seriously. After recently announcing the Unlimited country plan that allows the user to make unlimited calls to one country for $5.95/month, Skype is sweetening the deal. Skype is offering a good 25% discount on its unlimited plans if you take an annual subscription. But hurry, this offer is only valid till May 6th 2009. To summarize, Skype offers the following unlimited plans:
- Unlimited US and Canada for $2.95/month
- Unlimited Country for $5.95/month – Unlimited calls to landlines in any one country
- Unlimited World for $12.95/month – Unlimited calls to landlines (and mobiles in some countries) in over 40 countries worldwide
If you have been using Skype and are happy with it, this is definitely a nice offer to consider. However, given the way calling rates are falling, I am a little wary of making long commitments. You already have other options to make cheaper international calls and the rates are continuously falling. I would have been happy if the offer was with a 6 – month subscription. Let me know what you feel about the offer…
p.s. If you are using Skype, I would strongly recommend using a Skype phone to enhance your Skype experience.
