Well, we can never have enough of free calls!!! OnetouchIndia is yet another new VoIP provider trying to get your attention by offering free calls. OnetouchIndia is offering 2 minutes free calls to India when you open an account with them. This is what you need to do:
- Go to OnetouchIndia and click the badge that says 20 minutes free calls to India or you can directly click this link.
- Fill in the form (it requires all sorts of details, including a valid credit card number – don’t know why companies put such stupid requirements).
- Enter the numbers from which you want to make the calls.
- Once you submit the form, you will get an email to activate your account.
- Once you have activated your account, you can make free calls to India using the numbers that you used in the earlier step.
If you are satisfied with the service and you decide to recharge your account, you can get upto 63 FREE additional minutes. Other features include, PIN-less dialing, 24×7 customer support, auto recharge, per minute billing, speed dial, etc. Do not be misled by the name, you can use OnetouchIndia to make calls across the world. This is not the best of the deals and nor am I seriously impressed with the offering, but 20 free minutes never hurt!!! The regular charges to India are 5.9 US cents per minute. This cannot be compared to Betamax rates, but if you are looking beyond Betamax, you can give this a try!!

Well it is true!!!
Look at it from the company’s point of view. Trial is an important stage in any product adoption process. The company is getting potential customers to try its products for about 60 cents. That is not such a bad deal
There is an issue with their authorization process. From any non-registered(with OTI), they are accepting any registered phone number OR your PIN. Anything will work. So if anyone knows that your number is registered with OTI – they can potentially use your number and make calls with your money.
So I suggest – do not go with OneTouchIndia till they resolve this issue.

I am not sure about this. Even if somebody knows that your number is registered with OnetouchIndia, he/she cannot make a call using your balance. This is the logic underlying the PIN-less dialing. To make a call using your account somebody needs to use your phone to make a call or know your PIN number. So, I would not worry too much about this.
I agree with Alok as they have 3 digit security PIN feature which allows system to check the identity of the customer if dialing from un-registsred number.
